Fees
Fees vary depending on the type and scope of the evaluation. Most comprehensive evaluations are offered at a flat rate of either $4,625 or $5,700, depending on the areas being assessed.
More focused evaluations, such as IQ testing for gifted programs, kindergarten readiness testing, and autism-only evaluations, typically have lower fees that vary depending on what is needed.

What is included in the flat fee?
Comprehensive intake with the individual and/or parent or caregiver, as well as teachers, therapists, or other providers when appropriate and with permission
All testing materials
Approximately 5–8 hours of one-on-one testing with Dr. Salanga
Scoring and interpretation of all test results
A comprehensive written report integrating background information and test findings and providing a summary of strengths and areas of need, diagnostic impressions when appropriate, and individualized recommendations
A comprehensive feedback appointment with the individual and/or parents to review the findings and recommendations and answer questions
With consent, a brief feedback consultation may also be provided to a teacher or therapist
When a child is evaluated, a separate age-appropriate feedback session may also be provided to help the child understand their strengths and areas of growth
What Services Have an Additional Fee?
The flat fee includes virtual intake and feedback consultations with parents, teachers, therapists, and other providers when appropriate. Additional services outside of the standard evaluation process are billed at $250 per hour. These may include participation in IEP meetings, extended consultations, in-person meetings outside of scheduled testing appointments, travel, and other services requiring additional professional time. Court-related services are also billed separately.
Parent feedback sessions and a brief child feedback session, when appropriate, are included in the flat fee. Dr. Salanga is also happy to respond to brief follow-up questions by email. Additional consultation requiring more than approximately 15 minutes of professional time is billed at $250 per hour.
The flat fee covers the testing areas agreed upon at the beginning of the evaluation. Occasionally, results may indicate that additional testing outside of the original scope would be helpful. If this occurs, we will discuss the recommended additional testing and any associated fee with you before proceeding.
Do you accept insurance?
No, unfortunately, MindWorks does not accept insurance at this time. Due to the comprehensive nature of our evaluations and the number of testing and professional hours involved, insurance may not cover the full cost of an evaluation. However, MindWorks is considered an out-of-network provider, and you may be able to receive reimbursement for a portion of the cost depending on your insurance plan and benefits.
Upon request, we can provide you with a statement of your account and a Superbill using the appropriate billing codes, which you can submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
Coverage varies significantly by insurance plan. Educational testing is often not covered, while psychological testing that is considered medically necessary may be eligible for reimbursement. Some of our clients have been able to receive reimbursement for portions of their evaluation, such as the intake appointment, observation, testing hours, and/or feedback appointment.
It is your responsibility to contact your insurance company to determine your specific out-of-network benefits and coverage for psychological testing. MindWorks cannot guarantee reimbursement or the amount your insurance company may cover.
Many of our clients have also found Reimbursify helpful for submitting Superbill claims to their insurance company.
